Sarcoma Cancer Ireland has launched a new dedicated support line aimed at providing practical guidance, emotional support, and a listening ear for people affected by sarcoma across Ireland.
The newly introduced helpline will operate during scheduled opening hours and is designed to offer direct, confidential support to patients, survivors, carers and family members navigating the challenges associated with sarcoma diagnosis and treatment.
The service will be available Tuesdays from 10am–1pm and Thursdays from 5pm–8pm, providing callers with access to a free and confidential support resource at key times during the week.
The organisation says the initiative reflects a growing recognition that cancer care extends far beyond hospitals and treatment rooms.
The service can be accessed by phone or WhatsApp via 085 769 4115, making it easier for people to connect in a way that suits them.
Sarcoma is a rare form of cancer that develops in the bones and soft tissues of the body. Because cases are less common than many other cancers, patients and families can sometimes struggle to find peers, information and specialist support networks.
The launch of the support line marks another step in Sarcoma Cancer Ireland’s work to build community connections and ensure those affected know they are not facing their experience alone. The organisation says the helpline will provide a space that is free, confidential and focused on being there for those who need support.
